I studied Landscape Construction at Merristwood Agricultural College (1984-86) attaining an HND with distinction and Best Practical Student. I set up my company, Designer Landscapes, in 1987 working for private clients in Surrey and the Home Counties. I also worked as a sub-contractor for the major landscape companies in the area namely; Waterers, Siddles and Landmark, where we would go on to construct show gardens at Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Flower Show.

In 1990-91, I was asked to work at Disneyland Paris on a 7-week contract (which was extended to 7 months) constructing the hedge maze as well as Fantasy Land and Adventure Land, including the construction of a huge Fleur-de-lys on Cinderella’s burm.

In 2005, I was commissioned to construct a small ‘chic’ garden at the Chelsea Flower Show, sponsored (in part) by Lalique which incorporated over £85k of Lalique crystal.  With this, I achieved my first Gold Medal, after many near misses.

I have worked with many of the top garden designers, including Robin Williams, Christopher Masson and del buono-Gazerwitz and work with major construction companies and architects and interior designers.

My client base includes; Lord Sainsbury, Jean Decaux, Mr and Mrs G Ritchie, The Princess of Hanover, The Rothschild family, The Guinness family, The Rausing family and HRH Princess Bassma of Jordan.

We offer a complete design and build service or we can work alongside your nominated garden designer or architect.  We specialise in all aspects of hard landscaping, particularly in the use of natural materials and reclaimed materials ie. Yorkstone, Granite and Portland stone. We can design and implement planting plans and have a wealth of experience in planting mature specimens to give immediate impact and effect, sourcing from the major nurseries in Germany, Holland and Italy. Large rock features, ponds and all aspects of timber work are covered, including trellis, pergolas and garden gazebos and summerhouses.
